At Caring HARTS, we hear from people from all around the country about performing a wedding ceremony for them. Some are right in our own city of Crystal Lake or perhaps in a neighboring town BUT, the vast majority are not. They may be living or working in any of the towns or cities mentioned in the earlier section which deals with locations. There are still others who are residing out of state (i.e. Nashville, TN) and are not planning on being here until the wedding or to come back and visit with parents later. Yet, all these people want to look into finding a non-denominational minister to perform a nice and respectable service for them and they need information now.
Generally, when these calls come into our office, we spend as much time as you want discussing your specific needs and ideas. If time permits in your schedule for that call, we discuss the various wedding packages as outlined in this Special Wedding Section (and of course) provide lots of details.
For those whose work schedules and location is close to us, we can set up an appointment to talk at our office. Here, we'll typically do a recap of what was discussed over the phone for the benefit of the partner who was not on the phone at the time. Then we'll proceed into further discussions and couples are shown everything from pictures of previous weddings so they may get ideas, see our music selections if they require this and more improtantly, they get a chance to bring along their research to date and inform us of what specifics they prefer to have included over and beyond a traditional ceremony.
If after a complete discussion either on the phone or in person, you agree that you would like us to officiate at your wedding, the next step is simple - you book the wedding with our office.
Reserving your date (booking it) only requires a $100 deposit paid by check or major credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Debit, etc.). Just as you would process any other purchase over the telephone, we can do this for you also if time does not permit seeing us at our office.
Once you reserve your date, we provide you with a copy of a credit card receipt, your service agreement which spells out the date and time of the wedding, four information sheets for completing anything which applies, an Itinerary which many use for putting together a program to hand out and lastly a ceremony preparation "check off" set of pages which goes through each part of the ceremony. This latter set is an easy set of pages so that you may quickly and in your own time fill out, complete or select different things for your wedding. Such things covered include: 1) providing names and relationships of those in the remembrance message, 2) which vows do you pick, 3) who will be standing up and performing a reading, 4) how do you wish to be introduced after pronouncement as husband and wife, etc. It is simple and takes very little of your time.
Sometimes couples say that they want to think about it - naturally there is a lot said either on the phone or in person. This is why we extend a 24 Hour Grace Period for the Booking Fee (to think about it). If you change your mind, you get your money back - NO Questions Asked.
There are three main reasons to book your wedding with us: First, Your price is locked and guaranteed to stay the same (no later hidden surprises), Secondly, Your date is reserved and now you don't have to worry about having someone to perform your wedding - unfortunately, for those who wait too long, they sometimes find that we are already booked and can not serve them. Lastly and most importantly, reserving your date allows us to begin putting together your ceremony, sending you ideas and having ample time for personal discussions on the phone, at our office and through emails. The more time we have, the more we can work for you (all at the same cost). This what we refer to as "The 3-Way Guarantee" (Price, Availability & Service).
