PRE-DIVORCE CIRCUMSTANCES
Counseling the individual who has decided to file for legal separation or divorce is a specialty unto itself. The needs of the client involve a great many areas. Everyone walks along life's path and gathers experiences and learning - together with even more questions than those we found answers to along the way. For some, any form of religion has been virtually non-existent because either some religion was not discussed in the family home or (and this may be the case with many) as a child, priorities were on such things as bike riding, fishing, talking to friends about the boys next door or any number of other things which children engage in and prefer over listening to an adult lecture about God and worship. The innocence of childhood dictates that we not scold too harshly the young who do not absorb religious practices. In fact, it is the hope of many parents that one day they will be at that plateau in life to think more about religion and the importance that it plays in our life.
