Universal Life Church
Universal Life Church is a very special organization and undoubtedly fondly thought of by millions of those who worship at various churches as well as those touched by one of the countless ministers who have been ordained. The spiritual approach which is within the very fabric of their existence is the foundation of having no traditional doctrine - they are truly a "non-denominational" church. The flexibility afforded those of us among their clergy is so great that it allows for many interpretations and methodologies for religious practice. It is the very issue of flexibility which allows Caring HARTS' ministers to bring to you a wide variety of services in a way less rigid and more compatible to "having it your way".
At Universal Life Church, their belief is three-fold and is comprised of the following: (1) "Our Objective: Eternal Progression", (2) "Our Goal: A Fuller Life For Everyone", (3) "Our Slogan: To Live And Help Live". To quote directly from their literature probably speaks more clearly than mere interpretation. Universal Life Church says, "We as an organization believe in that which is right. Each individual has the privilege and responsibility to determine what is right for him - as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others. We do not stand between you and your God. We are active advocates of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America." Further they go on to state, "We are advocates of the good life. We want - to be competent, to be proficient, to be cooperative, to love our fellow man, to appreciate, to be humble, to be moral, to live positively, to be what we profess." For us at Caring HARTS to have tried to re-word any of the above certainly would have taken away from the beauty and eloquence of those words and sentiments.
So the question really becomes, "Do I [YOU] want to either not hold a particular ceremony or engage in spiritual counseling, have it performed by someone who will have a bias leaning toward a certain faith which I'm not sure I fully believe in OR do I decide right here and now to embrace life and my personal beliefs by holding ceremonies officiated by someone I can trust to work with my feelings, thoughts and needs?" In case you are wondering (and haven't read this elsewhere yet), YES, you can incorporate elements and rituals from other traditional religious ceremonies and beliefs into most of the ceremonies officiated through Caring HARTS. In keeping with Universal Life Church's beliefs - WE WANT TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT. If you decide to take a moment to look at how we can help you, you'll be happy you checked us out a little further!!!!
